I've seen this place be fun, warm, belligerent, cold. How do you see and feel about it now?
It seems to me it's becoming more and more a monologue platform.
I'll share my take in depth if need be. Or not. It'll largely depend on the comments.
This site is a cespool of trolls, people needing help, idiots looking for validation, random commentors, and people too young to legally be allowed on here.
I see a lot of people struggling with life here. Sometimes they deserve help, sometimes not.
This site is strictly entertainment. It is not one to find wisdom. In the maybe year or two I have been here, it never was a place to take serious. Though, There are some fun people for sure.

When yo do so, maybe summarize or keep it short so it doesn't get long and boring.
Often I see too many people here looking for validation and when they don't get it, they resort to acting like poo throwing chimps. It's funny to see, yet it's gotten kind of boring as of late.

"Just like in real life you have all types. Know it all's, people in pain trying to hurt others, haters (usually jealous), The entitled thinkers, wanna b's, People with mental health issues and people that are genuinely nice. Lot of people with agendas; like someone that loves whiskey may go around to a post about how bad whiskey is and be really aggressive, making the op think "what the hell is up their ass"
Kinda fits in with this. You also have an idiot on here that when trying to help them by not telling them what they want to hear but more what they need, they follow you around, or whenever they see your name they will thumbs you down (nothing to do with your comment) :)
This website, is fairly average, as blog/ and Q & A sites go..... but a LOT of readers, love to spew hate, stupidity, condone violence, and are rude to those who disagree with their point of view. They often don't address the posters' questions, but rather, attack commenters, about stuff that has nothing to do, with O/P's questions.
The great minds of today all use IIN. It is a forum of the highest intellect.
Hmmm it depends. I don't really know if its changed months since I've been on here. Compared to real life, their is in increase in the proportion of idiots, mentally disabled and glass half empty types on here which is the downside.
I think for actual debating important topics this site is pretty shit because nobody wants to have a real debate including me, not to mention are actual lives are so different it doesn't matter. Lotsa people on here all they do is get pissed and try and tear others down which is kind of a waste.
Yeah, I wish there was more intelligent debate on this site and I do miss The GypsySailor: I often disagreed with but he was almost always worth debating with.
I do think that generally there is less intelligent debate here than there used to be.
Yes it has probably gotten worse but I don't really care. That's not the sites value and that's not what it's for. At least for me. I don't come on here all excited to debate it's just annoying.

Sometimes this site throws up a nice surprise: I was very impressed with the supportive and intelligent responses to my recent post about my obnoxious daughter.
