How do i help my friend in this situation?

My friend was in an online relationship with a man she met on a website. They had some sort of tiff and she refuses to even be friends with him. She still loves him and still cries over him.
I was thinking about messaging him myself to try to get them together or coming up with a grand strategy to put those two in a Chat together so they could work this out.

Should I try to get them back together or just continue to offer comfort to her until shes over him?

    Well, Kevin, you should rather not interfere with it because you could easily lose this friendship.
    Your plan won't work because it's just too easy and convenient to leave the chatroom if she doesn't wanna hear him out.
    Face to Face would be much better.

    Have they met face top face or just online? If online tell your friend and forget someone she does not even know if they are what they write about thier self.
