How do i deal with this without a major heart ache?

The guy am supposed to be with, from my previous post.. I just don't get exactly how things are. Today we are like so attracted to each other,he told me he liked me from day one we were both single..next day it's like we just regular friends.. When I tell him I like him he ignores that completely and changes the subject. We went out a couple of times and he's always jelous when other guys talk to me, he would even suggest that we leave. Next time we can flirt all day, next day he talks about how he use to have sex with these women or brings ex stories that turn me off, (I tried to bring up my ex stories but I couldn't keep up) . Problem is I really like this guy but am just confused how do I deal with such kind of mixed signals.. I really found myself crying myself to sleep when he told me we are just friends (day before yesterday) this always kills me yesterday he said that I should relax and let him put a smile on my face.. What do I do.. I need the most honest advise I can get please.
