How do i break this to my new boyfriend?

My ex was well aware of my steady relationship with a fictional character from a TV show we watched together and then all characters played by the same actor and also that actor himself. It's completely platonic and I have never masturbated to him, if it matters.

Now I'm in a new relationship but I haven't told my beau about him yet. How do I do it? Will he accept it? Do I have to break up with my imaginary lover? Or should I keep him a secret? I'm terrified my new boyfriend will leave me once he finds out! Is telling him soon better or should I wait until later? Is it cheating?

Is it normal to have an imaginary relationship with a TV show character?

as long as it remains harmless friendly flirting, then it's fine, but don't physically act on your impulses.

I think it's totally ok as long as you are not kissing or sexing him.

    *Orchestra starts to play*

    *Sings in Opera voice*

    OOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
    UM, OKAY.....
I REALLY DON'T KNOW WHAT TO SAY!!!!!

    *Instrumental*

    IT'S NOT NORMAL AT ALL!!!!!

*Hits extremely high note for a long time*

    *Music is fast (boom)*

    AAAAAAHHHHH!!!!!!

*Passes out in a dramatic fashion*

*The music slows down to match the beating heart of the Star*

    *The crowd is silent*

*The music slowly starts to fade out*

    *The curtains are drawn*

*After a few minutes the lights come back on*

(Loud Clapping) (Whistles) (Cheers) (Standing Ovations)

*The curtains open back up and all focus goes to center stage where the cast and crew have formed a circle around their Fallen Star. The crowd thinks this is part of the performance but little do they know, it is not.*

    (To be continued....)

It's not a realistic relationship, he does not love you... And if you still love the character more than your REAL boyfriend go ahead and die alone.

May I ask who this character is?
I don't really understand how this counts as a relationship if it's "platonic", more of an imaginary friend really.
But anyway I'd say tell him about it when you're watching the actor on TV, just slip in that you sometimes imagine that you know him in real life. Good luck.
