I see people troubling about how to stop biting their nails and I ask myself: "How come I have never wanted to bite my nails?". I tried biting my nails once but it felt so boring that I've never tried it again.

    I never had the desire to either. I've done it only when I had a nail partially break just to remove the broken piece and I certainly don't enjoy it. I can't understand why it's such an obsession with people. It's disgusting and it looks awful!

    I used to bite my nails when I was younger because I was too lazy to teach myself how to cut them.

    Me neither, but I do have a compulsion to chew, particularly when I'm anxious. I prefer to take it out on gum rather than nails, though. Biting nails doesn't really give me much satisfaction, although I know people who do have problems with it.

    my sister used to bite her nails....i never tried...seemed disgusting to me.
