I tried googling but couldn't find what I'm looking for... how can I sleep in a storage unit for just a night without getting caught or having problems?

When I google it just gives me stuff of people living in them from years ago or the question offered is 'is it legal?'

I honestly just wanna know for a dire emergency situation. I'm good lol i dont even have a storage unit but just a curious mind. I just wanna know.

Like how can you stay in one without getting caught, dont you have to lock it from the outside? And isnt the place surrounded by cameras?

How does a person spend the night in one? Hmmmm

    I’m not speaking from experience but I assume you would have to know the person who owns/rents the locker, go in during the day when it’s busy, close yourself in discreetly and wait for nightfall.

    I did know someone who went to the big department store in our town, lay down under a double bed when none of the staff were looking and stayed perfectly still and quiet until they closed up and spent the night there.

    The owners of the units tend not to want people sleeping in the units because they are made specifically to be storage spaces not habitual spaces so the owner is liable and breaking building codes if you sleep in a unit.

    So only if you know the owner. Or if the owner is a shitbag and doesnt care.
