i have an hourglass shape....most of the girls ive noticed have either skinny or really balanced bodies
my upper body is skinny/slender but my legs are kinda thick.... which makes me not so comfortable with my body and scared to ask guys out...and some dresses that i like doesnt look so good on my body.

Doesn't sound like you know what hourglass shape means. It means waist looks small in proportion to hips and breasts. Like, um, an hourglass....
i wish i was born with that balanced look :( I have the hourglass shape, but i have insecurities so i just feel like my waist is to small so it throws everything else outta proportion and it makes my hips look even bigger and in turn makes me look fatter -_- Buuut i made an awesome mexican nikki minaj for holloween :D! lol
you dont hve an hourglass shape, hour glass means small waist while the top and bottom are in portportion

You aren't an hour glass at all, you are a pear. Pear is small on top and with large hips. Hourglass is a small waist with a top and a bottom that are similar in size and both quite a bit larger than the waist.
i was just about to post that but then i read your comment. i had a friend with a pear shaped body and i've gotta admit i was jealous of her hips and butt. A lot of guys like thick legs, wide hips, and big behinds so i don't any reason you should feel shy about approaching guys.

You sound like a Vase/Cello shape, depending on how much of a stomach you have.
Then again, I have a very similar build to you and am a mix of Vase, Cello and Hourglass (According to Trinny & Susannah).
You sound like you have more of an apple shape than an hourglass shape. Hourglass is small waist which makes the woman look curvy and hourglass-like.
