Hope is futile.

Hope is eventually futile. Life is futile. You don't get out alive. There are temporary happy things. There are temporary good times. But, hope is futile. I need a dose of denial. Education amnesia would be a excellent. I've learned too much.

Depressing conclusion. Ho hum. I accept this. The rest of my life? I don't care. I get sick of the fake optimistic daffodil people that think everything ends like a happy Hollywood movie. Nope.

    Always look on the bright side of life

    * whistles *

    But no, seriously, I do believe there is more pain and suffering in the world than there is joy but to quote a nostalgic song I heard recently

    " what's joy without the tears filling our eyes "

    Urgh, I can't even sound optimistic without feeling like I'm being completely hypocritical, life is good.....sometimes

    Life is goodish

      Interestingly enough, most of the islanders we meet, who most Americans would consider dirt poor, are some of the happiest people I have ever met.
      There is very little depression among these people and there seems to be almost no social anxiety here. Generally it is the resident whites who drink a lot and seem unhappy, though they live in paradise. Go figure?

    Resistance is futile. Assimilation into the collective is your future. What else could you want?

    But if this is the case should you not at least live the short life you have to the fullest? Have as much fun as you can before your inevitible death. That's gotta be better than dwelling on all the horrible shit in the world, right?

    Honestly, I feel the same way. To live is to die. And that's it. If you dont do something to change the world or become famous, your death means nothing, as well as your life.

  • There can be enlightenment in realizing the meaninglessness of life because you have realized what many choose not to.
    With that knowledge you have the decision to make a difference or not.
    Nobody has a predetermined destiny. We create our own and it is what we create that truly matters. We all die of course, but what we do does not.
