giving birth. I was in labor for over 24 hours.epidural wore off in the middle of pushing. The one nurse was a total idiot, couldn't figure out why I was crying. My husband was seriously great. I need to treat him better.

I literally squealed and proceeded to frantically scroll down at the sight of that picture. Give us a warning, goodness. (Even though you've already heard about the pic. :P I just felt the need to inform you of my near heart attack.)

The worst physical pain I've ever felt probably was last October at one of my lyrical dance rehearsals. While we were warming up, my foot and calf twists into this horrible cramp or muscle spasm or whatever it was. It was so bad and it lasted for nearly 30 minutes. I cried. It was too much pain for too long.

But on a lighter note, I tend to not really get hurt a lot. So, that's good.

Gout. I would not even wish it on my enemy. Excruciating.

Ten times worse than the most horrible toothache I ever had.

And there was no need for that picture, by the way.

This onetime something happened to me which I still don't know what it was. They speculated it was stress from working too much..

My one shoulder felt like it was being pulled down to the ground, getting more aggressive as the day proceeded. My neck was very stiff and sore and my spine felt bruised all over.. the pain got too much and I thought i'd lay down on the cold floor for a little while.
I could not get up again. It felt like every muscle in my body turned into a painful knot and it cramped everywhere.
I had to be carried to my bed where I had to stay for nearly three days. Didn't sleep at all because it just hurt too much.

Gas pain so bad that it felt like a sea urchin hatched in my belly and wanted out. Child birth was pretty painful but thankfully your body doses you with happy hormones that make you forget. I remember the gas pain.

  • Probably severe headaches.
I have broken bones, had surgeries and many others on your list. None compare to some headaches I have had.
That fishhook in the eye looks pretty bad though. He must have been stupidly inspecting the hook while the boat was rocking.

-getting my micro dermal piercings. They literally make an incision with a knife in order to put them in instead of using a quick needle.
-pulled a muscle in my neck and my neck was turned sideways for a couple days i couldn't move it at all, very very very painful.
-wisdom teeth being taken out. My medicine was making me do things and say things that i couldn't remember so my mom made me stop taking them. and it was very painful because of that.
-UTI those are always fun. sike.
-broke 3 of my fingers at once
-broke my toe cuz my fatass friend stepped on it.
-when i first got my braces on
    -relationship breakups
    -death of loved ones

Looking at that photo D': why would you do that?!

    It's a tie between:

    - sciatica down both legs from a herniated disc - feels like moleten glass and metal barbs stabbing you, concentrated in the glutes, stemming from the spine. Painkillers didn't kill the pain, just made me pass out then I had sleep paralysis with auditory hallucinations when I woke.

    - period pain where I felt like my guts were being sliced out and stabbing pain somewhere related.

    - migraine for 11hrs, I was curled up in bed sobbing the whole time, wiehing I was dead, needing to vomit but unable to. It was my third migraine that week.

-pulling a muscle in my neck from coughing too hard, then getting a massage which made it worse. Felt like my muscles were ropes of fire.

    - chemosis. Though that was probably more panic than pain.

    - acupuncture needles in somewhere private. Idk if that was just the shock and embarrassment more than the pain, which was like an intensified bee sting.

I think that's it...oh and possibly getting a pair of scissors embedded in my calf...only I was 8 when that happened so I don't remember it much. The others have all been in the last few years so they're still fresh in mymind.

I've had acupuncture and its no where as bad as getting stabbed by a porcupine or anything along those lines. I'd say that if it hurt that much, your acupuncturist doesn't know what he/she is doing!!
My god, I agree with the period pain! Shit not long ago I had the most chronic cramps, dizziness and shaking all over! I felt like I was about to pass out, heck I couldn't even stand up :(

I would trade the emotional pain I'm am going through now for all the physical pain -combined- in my past. My 3 broken fingers, dental work, stitches, concussion, 3rd degree burns, and nearly severed toes are child's play compared to what I'm going through.

Physical wounds can be diagnosed and eventually heal. Mental or psychological issues can be extremely difficult to diagnose correctly, and seem to take an eternity to heal, if at all.

IIN to feel this way? No, no it is not.

    Fucking God! The photo?! Why?!

It was probably when I broke my left elbow after crash landing off of a swing. I swear I got to fly for a moment and it was pure bliss. I remember turning a corner, when the swing seat grabbed ahold of me and forced me to crash land into the wood chips. I can't remember any pain that I may have felt. Perhaps, that's a good thing…

and/or Heart Pangs. I experienced some that felt like my heart was being stabbed with needs to feeling like someone was repeatedly stabbing me in the heart. I can't stress enough how painful they were. I thought that I was going to die!

Emotional pain was the betrayal of being raped/molested as a child by my grandmother.

Heart attack, pain so severe (after minor rumbles for months, which my nurse friend said was indigestion!) that I couldn't talk properly when I called OOO for an ambulance, then while waiting to be transferred from local to major hospital I had horrific pain in my lower back and hips because I wasn't allowed to move even a tiny bit.

Emotional pain: by far the worst was losing custody of my then 5 yo daughter because the court believed her lawyer father's lies about me; second worst was being raped

    • Avant-Garde

I'm so sorry that you had to go through all that.

I got indigestion from trying to eat brown rice last year and it was so painful that I thought I was dying.

I can also relate to you on being raped. It happened to me while growing up, by my grandmother. The first outright raping incident, where I was old enough to remember, was when she raped me in the shower on a Sunday morning (I was getting ready for church).

I agree, it is rather odd… Pedophiles tend to silence their victims by using threats and other tactics. She threatened to do something to me that I really unnerved me. The week afterwards, she went into full swing. She devised all of these ways to keep me in her room or to visit her house.

On one occasion she took photos of me (which many years later were discovered at a store when the film got developed. She made up a ridiculous lie and got away with it!). She actually told me that this was something normal that families did and that when I had children that I would do the same to them. (I never will). I didn't tell anyone about the photos. I wanted to tell my grandfather for help but, I wasn't aloud.

All throughout that week and I think the next week, the teachers at the after school program got suspicious and kept asking me if something was wrong and that I could trust them. I didn't tell them because, I was scared. She was getting really bold at that point, even making plans in the car in front of my after school.

One day, we were in the parking lot and something came over me. I started freaking out and screaming/crying that I was going to tell. Oh boy, was she scared! :D She started panicking and making threats. I told that her that she could threaten me all she wanted because, I didn't care anymore. You know, she cut that shit out. Yet, I didn't tell anyone.

When I was 18, after years of forcing myself to forget, I came to realize that I had been sexually abused. I arranged to see a therapist. We were getting to the point of contacting CPS and a detective to launch a full investigation. The plan folded when I, unexpectedly ended up confronting her. My life was threatened by her daughter, my mother. They blamed me and my therapist. To protect myself and my therapist, I said that I never told her (or anyone else) about the abuse.

          Sorry about the biography.

No need to apologise, thanks for sharing your story. That's truly horrific and reading it has made me angry on your behalf that not only has the perpetrator got away with it but on top of that, your mother betrayed you.

I hope you've somehow been able to have a good life in spite of the abuse and betrayal: I've decided that's the best revenge of all.

I wish you well and I hope you now have supportive loving people in your life, because that's what we all deserve

Well, this might seem tame compared to some, but getting an eye tooth pulled was horrible. The dentist gave me laughing gas plus three numbing shots, but yet I still felt pain, and I could feel everything they were doing right up until the last second.
