Help with contract rules please?

I started a private nanny role in August this year with help from a nanny agency.
The mother of the family who I work for was sent the final copy of my contract in maybe late aug or September time.
I have only seen the draft and not the final copy which had been amended by the nanny agency.
I have repeatedly asked for the contract so that I could sign it. But the mother says she keeps forgetting to print it off and makes excuses.
I am wishing to leave the family asap as I am having lots of issues with them regarding things they ask me to do and the way they deal with things. Things which are very unreasonable such as sitting in a freezing cold car for 4 hours whilst the 1 year old sleeps! There are a lot more issues too.
Anyway as I have signed no contract what do I do? Can I walk? Do I still have to work a months notice? I am very unhappy in the role and the sooner I can find another job the better. But if I can't get another job soon I will just have to leave.
Any suggestions?

If you have NOT signed any contract with either your employers OR the agency (be very, very certain) then you are under no obligation to abide by any rules. This means you can walk out the door any time you choose. This also means that if you do, you may not get paid your last check without going to court.
If you decide to leave without giving notice, you may never be able to work as a nanny again, no matter if your leaving or not.
    Lots to think about.

" no matter if your leaving or not."
Meant to read, "no matter if your leaving is justified or not."

I can't remember if I had signed anything with the agency, I don't think I did. But I have definatly not signed anything with the family. I'm planning on leaving after my last pay check, so then I'm not owed anything from them. I'm not too bothered about becoming a nanny again, I much prefer the nursery work I have done in the past.

If you feel you're happier doing nursery work than working for this family then I'd say take your chances and walk as long as your prepared to face the ramifications of doing so. I can't imagine a family that would leave you in the waiting out in a cold car for four hours are just gonna let this slide without razing a fuss. Whatever the outcome I hope the best for you. Good luck and I wish you strength.
