Help! people think im straight!!

Please help I am so devastated. Everywhere I go people think Im straight!! I cant understand why they would say such abhorrent things. I am not "normal" in any way in fact I am proudly very queer and perverted.
I mean I am a hairdresser, window dresser and I love the theatre.
I do my best to walk with a mincing gait. I have very limp wrists and I talk with a lisp at all times but still they accuse me of this terrible affliction.
I couldnt think of anything worse than marriage, babies, white picket fences and church on sundays. The mere mention of these things sends a chill down my spine.
Oh why oh why is this happening. Im so scared that Ill be ostracised by my friends if they find out.
I knew I should have listened to barbara streisand more often whilst prancing around the house in my tutu and stilettos.

People assume way too much. They shouldn't assume that you are straight.

My family assume's that I'm straight, and one day they may get a surprise...

You are not going to tell them about us, are you?

  • It is fine and perhaps a good thing at times. In some areas, being gay isn't the best option and although you are proud of yourself and your live's choices, others may not be.

However, people used to think I was gay and I am straight and never thought of being gay. I was harrassed and so on based upon something that didn't fit who I was on the inside.

So, some problems could be far worst. Be proud to be who you are and that is fine, just understand that others may not see your point of view and it is probably be better just to leave them out of it. Just because you are open and out, they have a right to be annoyed with it as well so don't flaunt it if it offends others.

However, be happy with who you are and if you are mistaken for being a part of the 'norm for a guy, that is fine too.
