Help me with my crush please

I have this crush who i sit next to in my class. The class doesn’t have many people so we are a pretty close group. He’s really tall and has some acne but he is super chill and he is so sweet. He even stood up for me when a someone copied my work in class. I really like him and I want to get close with him, but I kind of have trouble getting close with people. I have a lot of friends but not really many close ones, after I cut relationships with my best friend. Please, if there are any high school girls out there, please let me know how I can get to the next level with him! Is there anything particular thing you like to say that will make guys laugh? What detailed things should I do to make him like me more? Are there any tricks that are not often talked about? Also, how to become good friends with a guy? Please give advice!
