Go to your gyno and talk to them about it. Maybe try going on birth control to regulate your period.

I'm a guy, so I know nothing about those things. However, I'd suggest that you go and ask a qualified doctor or nurse about it, even if it's difficult for you to do so. Until you do, don't panic about it, because it could be perfectly normal. Just don't hold it to yourself, go talk to someone as soon as you can, otherwise you might end up worrying yourself half-to-death completely needlessly.

go on birth control. aswell as regulating your periods, it also makes it lighter, shorter, reduces cramps and helps clear up acne. it can trigger your appetite causing weight gain though so make sure to keep your eating habbits the same.

Are you sexually active? I haven't read the other comments, someone could have said this, but this could be a miscarriage. Similar thing happened to me when I was still in high school, I thought it was a miscarriage - I called my boyfriends' mom who is a nurse and she said it either sounded like a blood clot or a miscarriage. I got tests done, and it was neither, but the description sounds similar to what mine could have been.

Good luck. You sound young, don't be afraid of doctors. They see random retarded crap all the time.

also if you can't afford a doctor do some research ad find your local health clinic. they will provide you with healthcare that is income based. If you have no job they may be able to provide free healthcare including free birth control.

My period is irregular too. I have the same thing, but not as heavy. It's been like this for 3 years.

uhmmmm ya honey if your sexually active and even if your on birth control you can still randomly get pregnant. If you mix dif. meds like antibiotics when your on birth control it can lower its effectivness. And it sounds to me like you are having a miscarriage. Most women don't even know they are having one or chalk it up to being a little bit of a longer period. Especially since your having larger clots and it has lasted 5 weeks that is what it sounds like to me.

i had the same problem. I had my period at 10, im 18 now. And i was so irregular, had it at the most randomest times. And then i had it every 5 months, like twice a year id get it. And i would be on it for like a month straight. I had 2 take pills 2 make the bleeding stop. Then i had it again, for 2 mnths straight. And the doctor put me on birthcontrol pills which ive been on for like 3yrs now. And i get my period regurlarly now so yea see a doctor to go on pills.

everyone's cycles are different, but see a gynocologist. if you get really depressed a week before your period tho, that's called Premenstrual Dysphoric Disorder and there's help. Other than that, I don't know.

Wow, the best advice on here is to see a doctor. I got my period when I was 12, and I'm 18 now. And since then, I bet I only had about under 10 periods. I'm so irregular, I once didn't have it for a year. If you're bleeding excessively, you should see a doctor. You should have seen a doctor if you've gone past 2 weeks. Quick, go now!
