Hell on earth

Sometimes I look at the world and see nothing worth liking. It's all just a rat race with each person trying to out do the next and for what cause? Human nature seems to get in the way of making our planet a much better place.

Sometimes I wish I could reset all this. I wish I could wipe the world clean of the human race and just start over. I wish for fire and chaos to run rampant in the streets. I wish for the gutters to run red with blood like the waters of a flood. I wish for sidewalks to be lined with executions. I wish humans behaved more like machines strict, calculating, void of emotions and able to carry out tasks with maximum efficiency. I wish to take the human nature out of humans. What a better world that would be.

Hell on earth or a paradise?

Look at Vulcan (Star Trek) philosophy.

They started off similar to humans, and at one point in Vulcan history, everyone agreed that society would run smoother without emotion.

By the time ST:TOS was showing, Vulcans were Finished with that transition. So, whenever Kirk did something stupid based on anger or ethics, Spock didn't say "stupid". He said "highly illogical".

Look up Vulcan culture. It's really close to your idea, minus the Lovecraftian apocalypse.

Star Trek is what I grew up with, thus what I love the most.

I used to feel that way- well not the fire and blood part, but only seeing the negativity of the world. I was really depressed, and addressing that changed my view of the world

Life is good. Yeah, there is pain and suffering but there is love and beauty. It makes me sad that you have yet to experience these things.

"Be the change" isn't just some random quote used to inspire hippies. If you want to see good things, start making them happen. Yes, bad things will continue- and you will be that much more grateful for the good. Humans are truly amazing creatures. As I type, thousands of people are organizing efforts for tsunami relief. Yeah, there will be some jerks who take advantage of the situation but there will be more loving humans giving their positive energy to help bring comfort to those who are suffering.

Additional pain and chaos can only make things worse. Don't you want things to get better in the world, not worse?

  • For all of man's faults and disastrous thinking, he is a wonderful creation; something that's one footstep away from Divine.

Despite our bloody history and it's many failures, I wouldn't take it away. It's been a wonderful story so far.

I wouldn't say It's been "wonderful". What makes you say that?

  • Sending stories like this doesnt make you a psychopath or different it just makes you look like the last 10000 morons who sent the same story as this.

    Pathetic.
