Heavy pressure on skull... iin?

I have been getting this strange feeling on the top of my head for a few months now. If I barely (and I mean barely) put my hand on my head and then move it away, I end up feeling this heavy pressure on my skull. Sometimes it's so bad I almost feel like I'm gonna pass out. It usually lasts for a few minutes then goes away. I also end up getting headaches from it. I can't even leave a towel on my head or put my hair in a ponytail without feeling that pressure. Is this normal?
I'm also scared to go to the doctor. I know I should go but there's no telling what it could be.

You are going to need to make 3 incisions at the pressure point in a Y pattern. Peel back the skin to reveal your skull. Now cut a 2x2" square out of your skull. This will relieve some pressure on your brain, and you'll be fine.

    It worked in a movie.

May I suggest you go and see an osteopath- a classical osteopath if you can find one (don't know what country you are in)?

There are all kinds of reasons for such things but often, a neck twist or fascial twist can cause pressure on the nerves.

The good thing about an osteopath is s/he won't drug you up with unnecessary medications and they are qualified in medical pathologies so will likely be able to tell you if it's anything to worry about. Doctors are way too alarmist and negative for my liking and often make things worse!

There's that word again, heavy. Why are things so heavy in the future? Is there a problem with the earths gravitational pull??

I'm not trying to scare you but you could have a brain tumour. However, you wont know unless you go to a neurologist. That or if this does in fact kill you the crooner should find it.

I can just see it now; some old guy sitting in the dark on a structure, of some sort, with a single beam of light shining on him as he sings.

I think you need to suck it up and go to the doctor.

You should go for that reason alone. You have no idea what this is.
