Heart rate to go over 140

this happened a while ago when i was occasionally smoking pot, so this time i was actually drinking, had about 4-5 beers,apparently wasn't enough for me, so i rolled a blunt and started taking hits, then i got really sketchy feeling,started shivering, then my heart rate started going up, also kinda felt like electricity going through my body, then about half an hour later my heart was over 140, felt like a was having a heart attack, it lasted for about an hour,

is there any damage done to my heart after this incident? IIN?

    Me, my partner and a few of our friends experience this exact thing. Either when hungover OR sober. It's horrible. It's the worst part of my life. And actually we call it "sketching". I think it might be something that happens to you when you hit adulthood?

    Yeah, I had some weed that made it like all I felt was my heartbeat

    I smoked twice a day for a year and a half, until one day after smoking a joint i got a superfast heartbeat (could feel it pumping hard), couldn't stop walking around, starting thinking about a bunch of things which got me really scared, tried to get my friends to call 911 because i thought i was having a heart attack. Ever since then I havent been able to blaze without that happening. I have since quit (1 year ago) and have developed an anxiety problem which i now need medication for.

    stop. blazing was the funnest thing of my life, but you know if its not making you feel good anymore wtf is the point. You will lose your blazing buddies most likely, thats what happend to me :(

    when you smoke pot your veins dilate(grow bigger) so your heart has to pump blood more powerfull and thats why ur heart beat rate increased...its normal and no damage done but if u normaly have heart problems i recomend u to stop smoking pot.....but if your healthy then smoke all u want cause theres no need to worry,it's normal
