Maybe he had an abusive childhood or even schizophrenia. I'd suggest he sees a therapist about it. I hope he doesn't act out on his thoughts. I hope everything will be ok.

Have you ever thought that he might be schizophrenic?

Whenever someone REALLY ticks me off, I'll imagine different scenarios of getting revenge, including killing them in some way. I'll even imagine it if the one I'm mad at is a loved one. But what your boyfriend is thinking, I believe is on a whole other level. I wouldn't say that it's normal. Yeah, he might need a little therapy or counseling, just to see what's up in his mind, you know? I think you could grow to trust him around kids and stuff if he got help though.

i think you should suggest to him that he see a therapist, just so that you and he knows why it's happening, regardless of whether it's normal or not. that would probably be the best way to determine whether he would make a good father. some people just have very strange thoughts - it could be nothing. my guess is he may suffer from some kind of depression, but that's just a guess.
