Having conversations in my head

Is it normal to have conversations with people you may or may not know, in your head, and in your mind you sound really cool and know exactly what to say? Because last night I could not sleep because I was having these "mock conversations" and I was super cool. Am I normal, a complete loser, or have some kind of mental illness. Does anyone else do that?

You're being yourself when you talk in your head. I know when I talk to someone in reality my words aren't as fluid because I'm a bit more nervous, there are social obligations and such.

Try to relax more when you talk to other people, words flow much more smoothly.

  • I'd say it's pretty normal. The only way it wouldn't be normal would be if you weren't controlling the 'voices' or conversation. Like as if a person was actually in your head talking to you.

ofc it's normal. everyone does it, as far as i am aware.
It's a way of you trying things over in your head to see what you want to say and where it could lead you

I do it all the time. I just wish other people were as interesting as an unspoken conversation with my self.
