Having babies after covid-19 shots

Have any of you users on here had a baby after getting COVID-19 vaccinations, or know of anyone who has? And if yes, was the baby born healthy, without any complications todate?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

I mean...I've heard of several pregnant women with covid, who were otherwise healthy, dying of covid...

I've never heard of any vaccine ever causing any harm to the foetus if not given during pregnancy...I don't even think many are given the ok for use during pregnancy?

For what it's worth, the British National Health Service's official advice is that if a pregnant woman is offered the Covid vaccine, she should have it. Although they do say that Pfizer and Moderna are preferable because a greater number of pregnant women are known to have had those vaccines without complications following.

I remember seeing recently that Tucker Carlson - that famous font of profound wisdom and rationality - has been spewing selective quotes and other BS about the effect of the vaccine on female fertility. So I wouldn't be surprised if there's a lot of ignorant, ill-informed nonsense and baseless rumours about this circulating in social media.

The gist of Carlson's argument seemed to be that since we cannot _know_ with absolute certainty that the vaccines have _no_ effect on female fertility, women shouldn't have it. That's sort of like saying that since we can't _know_ that habitually wearing a bowtie in your youth and young adulthoood will _not_ turn you into a sanctimonious, enraged, entitled, delusional assclown, no boy or young man should ever wear one.

I have always been offered a flu shot and whooping cough during pregnancy. I think most others are not advised.

Yeah I knew there were some but I couldn't remember and was too lazy to google. I don't think the covid shot has been ok-ed for pregnancy? Idk.

If youre healthy enough to have a baby you're healthy enough to survive covid easily

You may survive it... but. The latest statistics I have seen is that at least 20% of people who had Covid have long term life altering symptoms. It's being called "Covid Long Haulers" disease.

I've got this - and it substantially limits what I can do from before I had Covid. I'm positive that I will recover more... but, I may never get back to my pre Covid normal.

Unhealthy and not able to work full time jobs (or have much of a life) may be survival... But, its not a desirable outcome.

The vaccines will prevent almost all of that.

Note that the flu or a cold does not affect people with these kinds of long term symptoms and issues.
