OhMyGosh. OHMYGOSH.. OHMYGOSSHHH!!! I LOVE LORD OF THE RINGS. Seriously, I am a huuuge nerd but I dont care. Getting the Lotr card game soon. :3 legolas<3
My mom required me to read an hour a day during the summer but I was allowed to pick any books I wanted so I read The Hobbit and LOTR :)
Yup! It was required reading. It wasn't too bad until the very end when you got into the "thous"/"thees"/ and "'ere".
"Ere before the mid-summer dawning thou hast harkened you caitiff blackguard! Have at thee!"
Surprisingly not. I was given The Hobbit when I was very young and it didn't sit well with me for some reason. I read it but then retained this idea of Tolkein being very dusty and not anything I'd be interested in. Then I tried reading The Silmarillion as a teen and found it hard going.
I picked up my sister's copy of The Lord of the Rings a few years ago and was surprised at just how well he does write. It's on the huge list of things I need to read.
Never read it. I don't like reading books, although sometimes I've read them online. I want to read it, though. I seen in this description video from the video makers of it that the end or near end was very different, that the place got turned in to a factory type land or something, and just recently I've been watching the films.
S far my favorite is Boromir, even though he died.
damn. Your dad mightve read you a bedtime story like robin hood or hansel and gretel. This was my dads version of a bedtime story. And no, I wasnt too young to get what was going on!
