KoTOR came out in 2003 and it is one of my favorite video games. It's mechanically antiquated but a good story is timeless.

    It was so tiring wielding that heavy broadsword in jolly old England. I was so happy when I found a Moorish blade instead.
    And then that guy, (what was his name? old age sucks) brought gunpowder and we got some really effective killing tools. And at a distance, too.
    Gotta go, the rigger's here.

        Actually, back then if one couldn't wield a sword of one type or another, one had little control over one's fate.
