Have you ever tried to open your presents and rewrap them to see what you got or anything like that?

    I've never actually opened anything but as a kid I'd try and analyze it by weight, size, sound when gently shaking, had a pretty good success rate

    Why in the world would anyone do that? Isn't that like reading the last page of a book first?
    Self control is something one should strive for.

      Kids dont always have that self control...they learn to achieve it as they get older...but make mistakes
      The younger you are the less control you have...and will try to see what you got...no shame in it...harmless child things

        Point taken, about kids.
        I know if I'd done it and been caught, even if I lived through the resulting anger, I'd surely never get another present, X-mas or B-days, ever again.

          I did open and wrapped one back up...if caught my mom would have taken that one back to the store...maybe grounding me.
          but I still would have gotten gifts :P

    Never wanted to open them early, because I would assume it was something burdensome for me to boost my parent's egos. Occasionally, I was wrong.

    I used to slightly open the gift on a unnoticeable spot on the box and then tape it back up.

    One year when i was a kid I opened a gift carefully and wrapped it back up...I felt guilty and never did it again lol
