I wouldn't mind being born in the 60s, so that way I could enjoy the 70s and 80s.
I feel like I should have been a teenager in the 60's....... So many concerts off my face on lsd, couldn't stomach the whole " it's all about love man " attitude though, but maybe it's just like that in my mind from media romanticism.
I was born in 92 so I only clearly remember late 90's it would have been good to be a teenager in the 90's
One bonus for growing up in the 90's though, spongebob squarepants, loved that show, Malcolm in the middle and courage the cowardly dog,
Same! Born on 92 here! My favorite Courage the Cowardly Dog. IMO, I prefer being teenager in the early 90's. From what I hear and see from other people's view, they really loved 80's and 90's. Those stories always get me, and it is so depressing not being there.
I wouldn't mind being born earlier so I can see what life was like at that time.
Finding a mate is too much work...I hate dating. I should have been born when there were arranged marriages - so much easier!
I was born in the 60's I thought you meant like the 1400's that would be cool to come to America when Indians were still here and all the wildlife before the white man killed everything
Hmm. Not really. I can find anything I want now, and I think you can too if you decide to make a change.
Hmm. What you're touching on is interesting and almost the opposite of my point.
What I notice about people who wish they were born in a different time is that they wish the things they like were culturally relevant, if not entirely mainstream. They want to be in the past because they can find what they want without the hard work of finding and becoming part of a subculture which embodies their values. Maybe I'm wrong, but that's my take.
My point was, it was so much simpler, that simple things made sense. I know that there were technological innovation that time, but that time, we didn't care about visual aspects just the important features.
I don't want to compare what was the psychological impacts of today's technology from what was then. But for me, this time, there are no new things, but just improvements/enhancements from the past.
I lived through the 60's and had a ball, but would have been much better suited to the 1860's; the "age of sail".
I feel like that times too but I don't intend to start anything racial, but being a minority in those times would be tough /: but still; I long for the vintage life *sigh*
