Have you ever thought of this?

" each random passerby is living a life as vivid and complex as your own—populated with their own ambitions, friends, routines, worries and inherited craziness—an epic story that continues invisibly around you like an anthill sprawling deep underground, with elaborate passageways to thousands of other lives that you’ll never know existed, in which you might appear only once, as an extra sipping coffee in the background, as a blur of traffic passing on the highway, as a lighted window at dusk. "
I've ALWAYS thought this, and once I tried to explain in to my family but nobody got it.. have you ever thought this too?

Sometimes, you imagine their lives too..I don't know why I used to this..but sometimes I used to think the same and also start to imagine what this person is thinking about, where they are going, how was their day like, etc.

    • Exactly. Some people seem really interesting and it's fun trying to picture why they are there or whatever. Good to know I'm not the only one!

YES!!! I just spoke to someone about it recently an he understood but thought it was nice that I thought of it. Nothing he ever thought of before. I mostly feel amazed about people who kill. I wonder if they ever think of those things before they do. Life a person with all the ambitions, hopes and dreams, jobs, school, and etc. I think its very special that we do :)
good to know others feel the same way!

I get this now and then when I'm in a public place and notice people. But my brain overloads - there's just too much of everything. I can't comprehend it all, so my brain shuts down and goes lalalalalalala.

    Stupid brain.

But yeah, it is a fairly overwhelming snd amazing thought :)

I think some variation on this pretty much every day of my life. I walk between work and home and I look at other pedestrians and people in cars and wonder this. The way I see it is how gravity was once demonstrated to me. Get four people to hold a sheet then drop a weight in the middle of it. It forms an indentation and round objects on the sheet begin to accelerate down towards the weight.

At a shop on my way to work, I chat with the owner most days. He has regulars and the more regular they are, the more they become part of my life. His shop is like a point of local gravity, dragging me and others together. I try to see the whole world this way. A universe in which we're all stars and planets.

Yes I have, almost any time I'm "alone" amongst a healthy serving of strangers. and in 30 years I have yet to find anyone that could comprehend the complexity of the thought, or gave a shit when I attempted to discuss it. So good luck. :)

PM me if you would like to discuss this further, you apparently have an interesting mind worthy of my precious time. Lol
