Have you ever sued an insurance company?

Car, homeowners, medical malpractice insurance, a Worker's Comp action....ANY insurance company? NOT a private party, only insurance.

In a ''sue-happy'' world that we live in today, I'm not surprised by the results.

Someone hit my car in a parking lot. I didn't have to actually sue the insurance company, they paid the claim. The guy TOTALED my car while I was sitting still in a drive-thru line, I don't feel bad about claiming for that AT ALL. The worst thing about it was that the guy was borrowing the car from someone, so that poor person got penalized pretty badly for letting this loser use his car. The other car was totaled as well AND the guy got an insurance claim against him. I guess that's a good lesson-don't lend your car out!!

I have never once sued any of my insurance companies for anything, even though there have been times when it might have been appropriate. I guess that I am not the sueing kind of a person.

In closing I would like to state to the other three posters, GET SOME GRAMMAR LESSONS, YOUR GRAMMAR SUCKS.

I want to sue Orange! my phone was nicked and the bastard ran up a phone bill of 177 pounds, calling libya and premium rate numbers whilst i was asleep, i woke up with no phone, got home eventually and cancelled it as soon as i could. got my bill eventually from orange - 177 quid, you pay now or we butfuck you! pardon my french, my phone is insured, no it's not just the handset, what? My phone is insured, NO IT@S NOT so what do i pay 10 pounds a month extra for?!!! So I asked orange why they don't operate like banks, if your card is used in strange circumstances they stop your card, why can't you do that with a phone? ERM?!!! Because we are a telecomunications company??? ...... AND??! Nothing, I cough up 177 quid and orange do nothing to protect their customers! 6 months left of the worsed contract i have ever signed and counting, people don't sign with orange!!

    • Well they'd have to give you a report if it was theft as that's a crime, but yeah, I doubt they'd do anything if you just lost it.
