Have you ever stopped to think about authors and their books??

Have you ever stopped to think about authors and their books? Haven't you EVER wondered how they get their inspiration? I certainly have. This may seem like an insane concept; but didn't it ever cross your mind that maybe fiction books weren't really fiction? After I read a fiction book... i mean fiction, like the kinda fiction with fairy tale creatures and all. Anyways, after i read a fiction book, it just seems so real that i start to think that it might BE real. That there might actually be a world where we co-exist with vampires or something (not like twilight, twilight annoys me =B). I know it's an insane concept, but the book just feels and seems so real and creative that it DOES seem real. Please, tell me I'm not alone! xD

I don't actually feel that, but just by reading your post, I know that the authors you're reading have done their job. Go ahead and let your imagination roam. It's when you begin to alter your way of living because you completely believe the fiction you read that you have to rethink reality.

I used to once upon a time and I wish I could still believed in the world of make believe. But when you've been searching for your brat prince as long as I have and haven't turned up any leads, your faith in the fairy-tale world seems to slip...

Not really. But I do get overly attached to characters, knowing they're fake, and liking it that way.

@Keng You're right, I'm definetely happy with the authors of the books I read. They make it seem so real. =]

@jrphotographer i jsut thought about it now from you mentioning it. I am becoming curious to how they do the publishing process. I mean, does the author of the book e-mail a publisher? Does the publisher try to contact the author?
