Have you ever seen an is it normal post voted not normal but in a good way?

Usually when I see people voting not normal on is it normal it usually means that people find the content strange or repulsive. Has there ever been a post where people voted it not normal (i.e. to the point where it turned red) but it was a good thing?

    • Example: "Is it normal that I give $200k to starving children every day of the week?"

Not normal, but very nice if one could afford that sort of thing!

Shit! I should pretend to be a starving child so I can get $200k

You'd have to resort to sweet sugary yet macabre cannibalism

I actually have, yes. It was a thing about Nelson Mandela and this community decided they hated him and then sabotaged his bathroom.

It was awful. You can't steal the toilet paper from an old man. He needed that stuff. It's probably the reason why Africa ceased to exist as a country. And also a tree.

    • Africa isn't a country. Or was that a joke?

I don't think many on here vote normal or not. It seems they vote normal if they agree or do something similar and not normal if they don't. Many, many times I have seen posts overwhelmingly weighted to normal for things which may be acceptable, but are definitely NOT normal. Normal as in the norm, the most common, the usual way things are done. For instance, it is not the norm, (for the majority of the population) to be gay; it just isn't. There is nothing wrong with being gay, but it just is not THE norm. Therefor, being gay is not normal. Again, this is in no way a criticism of being gay, it is a fact. If the majority were gay, then the straights would not be the norm(al).

You're right, but I think it's better for people to vote what's normal for them. If we vote by "normal activity = done by the majority" then in the above example being gay should get a 0% normal, as most would say that the majority or people in the world are not gay.
But if straight people vote "not normal" and gay people vote "normal", then the percentage of votes gives a better indication of how common or normal it is.

I think depending on the question, people switch between voting their personal norm or voting what they believe to be normal for most people.

This is quite correct. Not normal at all.
