Yeah, more than once, because they were guy friends that I didn't like in that way, and it was just uncomfortable after they started hinting at a relationship.

Yes because you don't automatically like the person who likes you - sometimes it's better for both parties to part to cause the least harm, and sometimes that requires a push.

  • I never look back anyway. Maybe because i value relatioships about as much as I value my supermario saves. if it's there -cool, keep on playing. if it's gone -shit, will have to find another game.

I've pushed someone away and never looked back. I wasn't ready for a relationship with anyone and I was overwhelmed at the time.

I have done it a few times and if memory serves me right, most were of the opposite sex.
I don't know, it's always the people that I don't love who love me and the people I long for don't like me back:( With most of my friends, they never bluntly told me that they loved me, it was more of a "hinting game". I usually don't return the feeling. I did once, though. We both flirted and at first his "flirtations" freaked me out and then I just melted into his flirtatious pot....

  • Yes, quite a few, most were female. Just recently I done it actually. She told me earlier on in my college course that she liked me more than a friend, I didn't like her even as a friend, but I needed a group to be in to not be the odd one out in college, so I made do with what I had. Recently I just left the group because I seen an opening in another group, so the original girl that liked me keeps trying to get in conversations with me and keeps looking at me while I completely brush her off. She irritates me quite alot, I just hope what I did eats her up inside.

Do you really? what are your motives for being a coward and a bastard if you don't want her there tell her. Have you tried that? instead of being a total moron tell her that you're not the guy for her and you have no feelings for her cause if you have not told this right to her face then how do you think she'll know she's obviously someone who doesn't pick up physical signals.

      • Like I stated, I done it to basically fit in. I told her I don't like her in that way, the truth was that I didn't like her at all. I don't have feelings for most people, I only needed a group to be in to not be the odd one out. You might call that being a moron, I find fooling people into thinking you like them is pretty...smart.

          • It doesn't, I never said it does make it right. If you didn't want to hear from me, you shouldn't of replied.

Yes, it is so hard to have someone like you when you don't feel the same way back. I actually had that feeling happen to me last night.

I took one of my guy friends I hadn't hung out with for a while to the movies. I'm still sure he likes me, he gave me a hug before he left. Nothing wrong with that but I felt just a little awkward when I shouldn't; he is my friend still.

It's just I don't want to be with someone that isn't happy with themselves; which he seems like that all the time, he's lost. I just don't know what to do around him anymore, I've distanced myself from him somewhat to the point where he should know that I only like him as a friend. I have already told him that I had only liked him as a friend too.

Having been on the flip side of this situation let me tell you it blows. You find a girl that is a pleasure to be around and that you have things in common with and you hint at a relationship or ask them out and they say they are only interested in a friendship. I don't know wether to compare it to a slap in the face or a knee to the nuts. Either way it's hurts.

Yes, and the same has happened to me. If there isn't that interest of a future with someone you really have to do what is right, even if it may seem selfish. Because truthfully if hurt me also to see a guy that likes me but I don't like back the same way. Also at the moment I just want to spend more time with myself, put my career ahead of me before any relationships. Love is hard, when you are young you really don't feel that it is but as you get older you realize in realtiy it truely is. It's better to not lead someone on to have stronger feelings yet and realize hey it really isn't going to work out after all after being with them for a while.

As far as I know I have never had a girl like me, but that doesn't mean I've never pushed anyone away.

Not permanently, at least I hope not, but yeah, it's happened before. You just don't know what you've got until it's gone.
