Have you ever looked back at old photos of yourself and....

thought to yourself:
"what the heck was I thinking?!"

I made the post because I was looking at old photographs to give to my sister for her photo album and I came across a bunch that made me cringe and laugh. I made sure to add a few of those to her album. XD

Yep 43
Nope 4

I came across one that made me laugh just because of how much I've changed in 5 years and simultaneously cringe, it's a picture of me with a few friemds on the way home from high school, sometimes we'd go skating after school so I'd pack a shirt in my bag to change into after leaving school,

I'm in a system of a down shirt but for some reason I kept my tie on just a bit loose ( douchbag ) black nails, and the biggest in your face scene\emo haircut, the back all the way up to the top of my head was spiked up and red and black with a really long emo fringe covering half my face, hairspray in one hand touching up the back of my head ( yeah, carried it with me all day ) and the other hand clutching my skateboard and I was blatantly checking out the ass of the girl walking in front of us

    What a dick

I was not expecting you to describe yourself that way. :)
Why does a part of me want to see that photo? lol

Don't make me seduce you into giving me those pics. You know it's possible

I was alive in the eighties. Enough said.

But the 80's (in terms of style and music) were awesome compaired to todays fashion and music in my opinion.

Give it a few decades and see where everything stands. I remember a picture with a bad perm and for some reason I loved to wear hot pink and turquoise together.

I think we all have those fashion choices from our formitive years that we question as an adult. What exactly was I trying to express about myself?

I have a few pictures of myself around the house, so they definitely serve as a constant reminder of what I looked like back in the day. I was fat, my complexion was lamentable, my testosterone only gave me a mustache for facial hair, my skin color was darker, and my wardrobe choices were questionable. I hate the way I looked so much I shredded my class pictures. Seriously, I can't help but think of myself as a sick fuck (sorry for the expletive).

Age became a miracle worker because I went out of my way to get in shape, my acne subsided, my sex drive lowered by an immense amount (for the better), and my current shape lets me wear tight, yet comfortable clothing. Thank goodness for this because now I'm happy with the way I look.

You're awesome! Not a lot of people can say that they're happy with how they look. It's great that you'e one of the few that can, Ally Killer. Also, the expletive isn't a problem. Cursing does not offend me.

Yes, and it's funny. Came across a few from my college graduation, posing arm in arm with my older sister, who was in textbook 80's attire, including a bronze silk, kind of poofy shirt and big hair. She looked at it and laughed, saying check out the outfit, and, "my boobs look huge!". They were, btw. It wasn't the shirt, it was her.

All the time, I think we all do this. Times change, fashion, trends etc. I want to burn old pictures of myself.

Yeah, especially the pic of me and my parents. My hair is really long and I'm wearing a "Stoned Again" t-shirt.

Is it weird that every time I see your comments I picture them in JD's voice from Scrubs? lol

Heheh. No, it's not weird. :) But it would be weird if you read them in the voice of JD Clampett of the Beverly Hillbillies!

Sure. Until 3 years ago when I stopped, I would use a hair straightener on my medium long hair a la stephen christian. I'm taking those photos to the grave.

lol. I used to dye my hair unnatural colors and a good portion of those photos will be put in a shredder tonight.

I'll trade you a photo of my hair straightener for a picture of your unnatural-colored hair.
