I will continue my powersharting. No one will intimidate me or even try cause I will cave their chest in
i left this website for like two years because of all the shitty people here.
I left a yachting site because most discussions deteriorated into personal attacks, by a few very opinionated, but ill informed users. I have no problem with others disagreeing with my opinions, but I rarely see the need to get personal. It should mostly be about the subject of the post, not about the person who posted, though the occasional post just demands a personal response.
I left an autism website because a couple of the guys on there kept stalking me.
One started out as a friend, but became really clingy/possessive and would freak out if I didn't talk to him every single day. I made the mistake of giving him my address (he said he was going to throw out some old plush toys and I wanted them, so I gave him my address) and a few months later I wound up getting snail mail from him begging me to come back to the website after leaving it and trying to ignore him.
Another guy wanted to be my boyfriend, but when I told him I just wanted to be friends, he started following me around on the forums making posts after mine and sending me messages that I never responded to.
I put up with them for a really long time because they weren't bad people and I was afraid of hurting their feelings by being assertive with them. I tried ignoring them, but when their behavior continued for months on end, I eventually got really tired of it and wound up exploding at both of them to leave me alone.
I admit that I feel better after telling them to back off, but I do worry about my safety, since it was a mental health website and at least one of them knows my address.
