Dappled, why must you assume noone will get the joke? Are YOU the only one who will grasp it?

Yes, OP. I have, indeed. Indeed. Indeed. Indeed.

Oh!! This comment took forever to pass moderation due to the link, but it was worth the wait! I saw it in the dead of night, silence and this magical moment. Is it a personal clip? If so, I thank you even more for sharing. I love this person with the tongue sticking out!

          Merci milles fois!

    Glass's Satyagraha

    Tuesday, August 28, 7:45 PM
Philip Glass’s landmark opera, whose Sanskrit title translates as “truth force,” explores Mahatma Gandhi’s formative years in South Africa. The visually extravagant production, starring Richard Croft, is directed and designed by Phelim McDermott and Julian Crouch.

Styagraha features minimal subtitles. Composer Philip Glass used as his text the ancient Sanskrit scripture the Bhagavad Gita, which does not relate to the actual action taking place on stage. Glass did not wish the text to be understood—just to be heard—and to allow the actions on stage to speak for themselves.

Running Time: 2 hours 45 minutes

(Original transmission: Saturday, November 19, 2011)

        • Because of the repetitive structures in his music? :P
