Have you ever got into a physical altercation over something dumb?

The whole of my childhood with my brother, we're really close now but holy fuck did we go at it back when we were kids, he's six years older so the size difference wasn't really fair , during fights I could never hit him in the face because he had braces and I'd get in trouble but he still could, I remember he came home one day from the dentist with his braces off and the first thing I did was walk up to him and punch him in the face.

Aren't all physical altercations pretty dumb? The last couple fights I was in were with my sister. I was able to hold myself together until she brought my daughter/my parenting into the argument. Nobody won. She is all about intimidation so she chilled out when I really lost my temper and I was able to calm down and leave.

Yes, my sister once smacked me for pointing my finger in her face so I pinned her down just to show her what I was working with.

Me and my brother once had a fist fight over who broke the ornament.

When I was about 11 a big kid at school kept bullying me, day after day, week after week. At the time I was probably the smallest kid in the class, I was a late bloomer. I didn't know what to do as he was much bigger than me.

One day as I was sitting eating my lunch, like something out of a B grade high school movie, he came up behind me acting all smart alec with his buddies. He started poking a metal drawing compass (the ones that have a sharp metal point and you draw circles with it) into my sandwiches.

After a minute or so of this something in me just snapped. I grabbed the compass out of his hand and shoved it really hard and deep into his hand which was resting on the wooden table. He couldn't believe what I had done. He was in shock.

But soon the fight was on in the schoolyard. My first real fight, I fought him like a crazed, wild animal and gave just as good as I got. At the end of the fight with blood running from his nose, mouth and hand he called me 'crazy'. It was a victory for me and he left me alone after that!
