Colt AR-15 SP1, Smith & Wesson Model 686 .357 Mag revolver, GLOCK 17 9mm, Remington 870 12 gauge pump shotgun.. own & have shot them all. Ready and willing to use them if necessary; I live in Texas.. enough said.
I did not know America was the only country that owned fire arms. Weird.
What's really interesting is that the countries that DO ban firearms still have gun-related crime.
Of course we all know what REALLY happens when you ban firearms from citizens... you end up with law abiding citizens who cannot protect themselves from the criminals who buy them illegally.
What? O yes, call the police? By the time the coppers show up you may already be dead but hey, at least you didn't own a gun right?
I always find it strange when people get scared - or pissed off - at the though of us owning guns.
It's as if people seem to think we're all a bunch of idiots who just go around shooting everyone first and saying "hi" second.
That's silly. I WANT peace. I'm not out there looking for a reason to shoot people.
The best way to sum it up is... Have you ever read "The Art of Peace"? I have.
The philosophy of the book is that you value peace over war, that you want to end conflict WITHOUT killing your enemy. You WANT your enemy to stay alive.
You do this by making your enemy realize they cannot possibly win against you. Ever.
That's what owning a gun is to me. A tool to be used in making the bad guy understand it is futile to attack me. He will gain nothing.
Thank you, OMG, I think I love you. You said everything that I was thinking and then some.
This is what America is all about, I just think people just forget sometimes.
I'm truly proud to live and be free as a Texan but more importantly as an American with the right to have a gun and protect my family and I.
Im in a gang im blood nd last year I shot someone in the shoulder but it was an accident so the man didn't press charges he just made me pay his hospital bill.
Yep. An assortment of shotguns, rifles, and handguns - all mostly semi auto. Don't see why people enjoy it. I'd rather watch TV.
Does an Air Rifle count? If so, then yes and if not, then no. I have not used a real firearm, but I am planning to get one for protecting my home anyways.
Does a Steel Edged Rentington Brand Bow With A Scope, 70 CM Long In Height, 2 CM In Width, Reinforced Handle, And Uses Very Strong Wire As A Sling count?
Colt M1911, Rem 870, WASR-10 (AK-47 semi auto), M1 Garand, Mosin Nagant, AR-15(Semi), Colt DA .38 revolver, M1 Carbine, variety of .22s, Springfield 1903, others. I'm working on fixing up my grandpa's old Karbiner 98k too. Most of these I own, some I've shot with people at the range.
I shot one when I was 10 well two actually. I shot a handgun and a bolt action rifle. Never killed anything just target practice. Not sure what kind the names of them were.
I own a 7mm Reminton mag, .243, several .22s, ..357, .44 mag,.410s, 20 , & 12 guage shotguns. My favorite was my Colt 1911 .45acp...had to sell it in hard times :(
Yes.
I open carried while on duty in the Navy - 9mm Beretta & 12-gauge Remington shotgun.
In the civilian world I've gotten to test out several 9mms, including a few models of Sig, a Springfield, Glock (meh, too boxy). I've also tested out a 45 and a 40, and one full-auto gun that was firing 9mm.*
* That one was a special setup however, where the range master held onto the firearm as well, to ensure there were no accidents where people let it fly up etc.
On top of this I purchased a double-action only Ruger revolver a couple of months ago.
We in Finland have mandatory military service for men, so yes, I have fired a gun.
I had, a couple of times, shooting bottles. Not anymore, i don't like them.
306 winchester repeater, 22, 30 30, 12 gauge pump action shotgun, 20 gauge semi auto shotgun,4.10 and if bows count that too.
Go Navy! Beat Army!
>:-)
Just kidding. Well until the Army-Navy game that is. =)
my brother got back from the army.. and took me up north in wisconsin.. and had me fire two guns. one was a small one.. but heavy. the snd i was laying on the ground looking through a scope. it back kicked into my eye.
Ouch. I remember one time back in basic training our drill Sgts warned us about the kick while we were at the M16 range but this one chick didnt listen and the weapon kicked back and hit her in the nose and there was blood EVERYWHERE. Good times...
It always amazes me to see videos of people who can't stand up to recoil.
Kinda like one episode of NCIS when Ziva gets to fire an M9.
They warned her of the "recoil". O_o it's a flippin' M9... um. Yeah right. I mean sure there's recoil and your hand jerks up a little after you fire but ... they were acting like it was the mother of all recoils.
Yes I laughed.
And if anything, now after shooting a revolver that carries 38s & 357, an M9 recoil would feel even lighter. :-)
No I havent but I am planning on getting a FAC so I can get a gun, I need a pass time. I am also in the UK so its harder to get a firearm here.
And I don't mean fake BB guns or anything like that, I mean real guns with real bullets.
I'm the same with guns as with cars and aeroplanes. Fascinated by them, but I'd never use one. All three for the same reason.
