Have you ever felt like you were in a constant dream state

Ever since i was little i would be doing something and then out of the blue, my surroundings would just look foreign and foggy, as if i was in a dream state where i would ask myself, Is this really happening? I used to have quick panic attacks when it happened but i learned to control it as i got older. But a few months ago I experienced it and ever since then this foggy dream state never really went away. Like It'll go away sometimes but it always seems to come back.

I've experienced that before but it went away 27

Yes. Then, I found out that most of it was due to Candida Overgrowth. The other part, I am left to assume, was from being abused as a kid as that can cause derealization/depersonalization.

I detach and space out when I am stressed, like a light trance. But actually seeing your surroundings change is not normal at all, it's never normal for things to look foggy unless you are standing in fog.

Yes, a lot when I was a kid I would be with my family and suddenly they'd look like strangers... Then I would get kind of lightheaded as so many thoughts were rushing around... And other times when I was older, it was a sort of depression I guess, that made everything seem unreal, and I kind of wished that were true, that it really was all just a dream...

  • Yes, and I realize I'm not the only one. Derealization is somewhat common and can happen for all kinds of reasons. It's only a problem if its bothering you or comes with other disabling symptoms. The only problem I notice with it is I am spaced off and often unaware of what's going on around me.

I've only experienced that when I was on drugs or chemically imbalanced you might check on both. I haven't had that happen to me since I've been straight.

Sounds like derealization. My psychologist said it was the bodies way of dealing with trauma. I experienced in the most right upon learning of my fathers death. It lasted for a 2-3 months on and off but slowly became less and less and issue when I started becoming more positive.

Keep in mind I'm not a professional just someone who is dealt with it. And I have my own questions about why it happens. If you don't mind, I'd just like to know if you're isolated often?

I sometimes feel im not really of this world ,and should b in a parallel universe, or an alternate reality. I think its because I get Deja-vu a lot. But I have a very good intuition. Maybe it's Deja'vu related.
