Have you ever dealt with parasitic people?

These people pretend to be your friend. Yet when you leave only tell you to come back since there is all these things you are not doing for them. I really find these type of people disgusting. So how do you get a parasite off your back?

    • Not really that new.

  • Trying to destroy will only backfire onto yourself. The best way to win is to rise above them and not let yourself be a pawn in other peoples games.

Set your own boundaries with people and have the guts to enforce them. They will move on to someone weaker.

This has happened to me, and the only thing I can do here is just cut them out of my life. I will not answer their calls or texts; I just don't want to be bothered with them. One girl I worked with, who I thought was a friend, was a real moocher, using me like I don't know what, and the straw that broke the camel's back is when she was charged with disorderly conduct, and I happened to be with her. I had to go to court to testify against her. I know now I should choose my friends with a little more care

  • My friend keeps buying me stuff like videogames because I sometimes can't afford them. I keep telling him not to buy me shit cus I feel like I'm being one of these types of people. :(

  • Do you mean people who are users? As in using others for their own benefit?

These people are easy to spot.

    • No No, Not anyone on this site. Other people I must deal with. They pretty much screwed me over and were upset I got angry at them yet they dont understand what they did wrong. They also continue to get me to cater to the people who hurt me. Which I find incredibly fucked up. They are so irritating.

      • That's what I meant. A real life "user of others". I've known plenty. Ask for anything under the sun until you tell them no. Learn how to say no and put your own interests first. Sounds selfish I know, but it's the only way to deal with people like this.

Destroy the support . Taking your kindness for weakness, and basically using you. Do not be mean or rude. Just be assertive and tell them the truth, a simple you only want me when you need something and when things are good I don't exist would suffice. The hint will be taken. And they will get that you know that you are being used.

    • Well they seem to be too short sided to see why they are doing is wrong. That or assume I am stupid as they continue to ask for more things and attempt to justify their behavior. Saying how its okay and why I am wrong for not helping them.

It's never ok for that. Just be assertive. Stand your ground and don't let them guilt you into it.

Cut them of your life. Don't answer their calls or texts. Have nothing to do with them.

I have had to do the same with a certain woman who I treated as a friend but she was actually a lying, manipulative, argumentative, know-it-all parasite.

Yeah, I know what you mean. Some of the most poisonous people can be within your family. I don't mind helping people, but I have a problem with being taken advantage of. There is a difference. Don't put much importance into what they say because they're full of shit half the time and can't be trusted, definitely don't go out of your way for them, and it's probably best to avoid them as much as you can.

Sometimes I use tweezers or I heard the lit end of a cigarette applied to their back works.
