Have you ever dated or are dating anyone who had/has ocd?

I just kind of wonder what it would be like dating a guy that has OCD and of course not as some joke... I really mean this. My mom, ever since I was born and raised has always had a few of the symtoms of OCD, so I'm somewhat use to being around someone who is OCD. But I guess she is rather mild truthfully.

The sad part is I'm almost the opposite; I'm rather unorganized but I'm working on it. I really don't like untidy rooms, I just need to work more on my tidiness.

What actually got me thinking about this was that my friend and her husband were going to set me up on a date with one of their friends. My friend said that they have a feeling why he doesn't have a girlfriend is because he is OCD. I have actually met him before is the thing, he was actually the groomsman who walked with me down the isle at my friends wedding. He seemed nice for the time I had talked to him but rather nervous not saying I wasn't though.

I just want to see opinions on your experiences if it's a yes. I'm actually planning on going on a date with him, it isn't going to stop me. This won't happen till several months also unless something happens that I won't be able to.

I am married to someone who has more than moderate OCD. I knew that before we married and we are opposites. I am unorganized and am surprised at how quickly I can make a mess. But I love him so I make sure I pick up things so he can be more comfortable in our home. I can have all rooms picked up but insist on having one room where I can put stuff and not worry about it upsetting him. He says just knowing its there upsets him but that is his problem to work on. I let him know what I do for him so it makes it easier for him to accept my shortcomings.

My mom has OCD too..I can say that was the least of her problems I had to deal with. It can be frustrating, especially seeing someone you care about suffer, but since you can kind of understand his situation hopefully this will make it easier.

I know whenever my mom did go out it would take her at least an hour to leave the house because she'd keep checking the stove and switching the lights on and off until she was comfortable. She'd brush her teeth for 2 hours, if you touched any of her stuff she'd know and spend an hour fixing it, everything was on a folded piece of paper towel, I could go on and on..XP

but I don't know how it would be dating someone with OCD.
