Have you ever been approached by a cult?

jehovah witness and mormons are forever knocking on my door -.- i escaped the cult known as catholic school after 12 longer years too.

I used to be a Jehovahs Witness because I was a kid and that's what my parents were. WORST TIME OF MY LIFE!

Jehovah's Witnesses used to call with me every week for a few months but I think I had too many problems for them to listen to and they never called back.

I thought they may have been able to run a few errands for me ;o)

I was on the bus to college once and this morman sat in the seat infront of me. He turned around and started preaching his belief. It irritated me. I don't have a problem with religion, but when they think I need someone to explain it to me, that just irritates me.
Someone that was a social "buddy" had a mentally disturbed christian as a mother, she wouldn't leave me alone at all.

Yeah I have, The catholic cult. I never joined religion is dumb.

No, but I had an opportunity to work for what I believe was mob related business. I politely declined the offer.

Besides Jehovahs Witnesses showing up at my door every sunday for no reason....no. I've never been approached by one and oddly I would find it cool if I was.

Im very annoyed by Jehovahs Witnesses im Christian so i mostly just smack the phone if they call or stand before the door their rules are way to hard for me even to consider whatever they have to say..

Never really been approached by any know cult members, but Jehovah's witnesses are always at my door, usually three at a time. One of my friends moms is one, and one said that my family is a real challenge. My father can back them into a corner challenging them about the bible. its fun!

Denomination, cult, religion, superstition...
They are all the same and they are all equally justified in their delusions.
Just because more people believe a story doesn't make it right. Evidence, cynicism and an open review process make a theory right

When I was in Vegas when I was a kid some guy tried to drug my sister and I with lsd. Luckily my mom took it away before we put it on our skin and got us the hell out of there. True story.

My ex bf dated this girl who was in a cult. They met when she recruited him. She was really hot. Anyway the cult thing was really weird from what I know about it. I was never approached by anyone in a cult.

I've seen some Scientologists in London recruiting, but I avoided them.

When I was 6 the Hare Krishna's almost took me away from my mother when we were vacationing in Hawaii. Apparently I wanted to go, I liked their robes. Kind of glad I didn't, lol....

but i knew someone whos mom was locked in a closet and was forced to listen to these people's beliefs and i forgot what else, but since then she has been paranoid and it affected her mentally...they were scientologists. i swear its a true story.

I was approached once that I can remember by some people in my hometown while I was on the street-so called "Moonies"they used to be called The 'Reverend'Sun yung Moon's Unification Church-First they asked me if I was interested in helping them in cleaning the street of litter as they said they did so as voluenteers, then they asked me if I wanted to go over their place for dinnerwhere they lived.I never accepted though,makes me wonder if the house they claimed to live in is still there.

When someone takes time out of their busy schedules to come to my door to do a work that they are not payed to do, I respectfully listen to what they have to say, even if they are a cult.
