Have any of you girls approached a boy first?

There's this guy I'm soooo crushing on and a lot of my friends have mentioned he's always looking at me when we're in the same place. He goes to this bar almost every weekend and I'm thinking if I see him there I'd say hi and maybe we can talk or whatever. Will that freak him out? What is he gonna think?

Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

i think i speak for a lot of guys when i say we enjoy when a girl approaches us rather than us having to make the first move. so do it, it wont freak him out and if he has any interest in you he'll appreciate you making the first move

Literally anything. Guys primarily try not to freak YOU out. Guys only ditch a female if they know you are bat shit insane. Anything below that is fair for us.

You've hit the nail on the head. It's kind of funny, but it's a completely true picture you've painted of most guys :')

Personally, I would love it if a girl came up to me first. I kind of think it's "the guys job", but it's a job many of us don't want, lol.

A lot of guys are nervous, or low confidence, etc and don't excel in approaching women. What I would tell to a guy is that "the worst she can say is no", and that that's a real possibility. However with a woman approaching a guy that's still the worse that could happen, but I think your chances of "success" will be much higher.

yeah but he didn’t respond to my dms after a small conversation so I stopped messaging him, it felt a little awkward

So you know your answer, he's probably not into you. It's no big deal, so don't take it personally. I know it's cliché, but there really are plenty of other fish in the sea.

Sure, but only if you can handle potential rejection.

      That's an interesting response.

  • Sure, talk to anyone first and you’re really cool!
Confess your feelings to guy and you become some sort of monster, or incurable disease. Or that’s what happened to me anyway.

Guys like when girls come to them first. It makes things so much easier. You could even add him on facebook or something and like one of his pictures first and then talk to him. Thatll send the message

what if the guy doesn't like the girl back then it makes everything complicated,op should go for it though based on what she just said

I say go for it! He's not going to be weirded out by you starting a conversation with him. I've personally never known of a guy who felt that a woman pursuing them first was weird.

What have you got to lose? If he's too shy to approach you and neither of you ever talk to each other, you will definitely not have your chance then, so take your shot while you have the chance!

  • No, but I started too long at the back of a guy's head because I thought his hair was interesting. He noticed me, twice. I fuckong crunge when I think about it to this day.
