Hate coworkers

Is it normal to not want to associate with coworkers who make jokes at your expense?
Keep in mind that the joke relates to your character and what they think you are or aren't capable of from what little they know of you. This coworker doesn't even know you well. They are being presumptuous.

Bad coworkers can make a nice job unbearable. Maybe they are clique-y, maybe they are jealous maybe they just like to gossip like little old biddies.

I have been working there for about three months and have not been hired because of nepotism. I rarely interact with my coworkers because of personality conflicts and I don't have any interest in them. They are making remarks about my lack of speech and how that might transfer to public speaking. "We should ask her to be the speaker." This was said jokingly followed by laughter. I'd have no qualms about doing public speaking. But I guess they think that because I don't care for them, that that translates to an inability to speak to people I do care for, or in front of others in a professional setting.

Nobody reacts well to someone who shows, "I don't have any interest in them". In three months I'd guess they all know how you feel about them, so I'm thinking this is all pretty much of your own making. One receives what one puts into interpersonal relationships.

I guess it would matter a great deal how long you'd been working there?
If you are a new hire and not hired because of Nepotism, then they should have no reason or basis for criticism. But if you have been there a while they could be reacting to your lack of performance or professionalism.
Or they might just be assholes, right?

Its normal,me i have a policy "love those who love you,and ignore those who beef you,and do mean stuff to those who make fun of you"
I can stand anyone but not a person who makes me look an ediot.
