Has the "no comments yet" section done any good?

I am just wondering, because I was actually the one who wrote to the site requesting that they add this feature. I was very pleased when they took my advice, because I know how disappointing it is when you post something and nobody comments. However, I am wondering how many people actually go into this section to check...and if there are still questions that go unanswered.

I had never noticed the "No Comments Yet" section before 31
I very rarely check what is in the NCY section. I assume the are all b 9
I think there are less unanswered questions now 5
I love checking the NCY section, and commenting, to help others 9
Help us keep this site organized and clean. Thanks!

    I checked that out a couple of times. Most of the time though, there is a reason that nobody has commented yet...

    I use it, and am glad it's there. Mainly I go into that section because it's not as fun when there are a lot of comments to something and you know not many people are going to sit there and sift through every single comment, so more than likely commenting to something that's got 20+ comments will probably result to yours being lost in the sea of words that hardly anyone cares about anymore.

      Thanks for commenting here. I am glad to hear that it has been of use to you. I agree that I prefer commenting on something where the OP is more likely to say, "hey, thanks, somebody actually commented!" Instead of just sighing over the fact that they just received their 68th comment.

    I'm glad it's there. I think it's nice to help people out who don't have any comments. It really sucks when that happens so I like to help them out. Also, I have submitted polls that have gotten around 100+ comments and it's really annoying. After a while I just start ignoring them. So I wouldn't want to annoy someone else.

      Thanks for the nice comment. I agree with everything you said. There is need, and then there is excess. :) It is up to us commenters to cut back on both!

      Right side menu bar, between newest stories and newest polls.

        Probably, but I tend to focus on new stories because I know they are still relevant. But hey, I'm sure you are right, I'd hate for my story to have no replies if it was serious.

        Well genius, someone gave the shit idea to give LOSER posts more exposure (hopefully) by making the 'loser' category of 'zero posts'....It's a SHIT idea, for SHIT posts. It's like winning the Special Olympics....you get to feel special for a second but you're still a complete retard.

          Thanks. Your opinion on my idea is appreciated. I would appreciate it more if you were a bit more tactful about it though, you know. Obviously some posts are a bit meaningless, but the section is there for perfectly good posts, that just happen to be overlooked. Yes, that does happen. (Or did, before the "no comments yet" section was added.)
