Has anyone else noticed that in order to offend someone in public, you have to say something about their kid or cuss them out or something personal, but online all you have to say is "I have different opinions/ interest than you do."

Yes. Because there are no filters and also because it's easy to misunderstand what people are saying. Also, real life angry outbursts have more consequences.

yes. I don't comment on youtube anymore because people bicker with you and abuse you for your views. it seems people can't understand the notion that we perceive things differently, they have this narcissistic view that you have it all wrong. Yes this is generally true. In my case it's quite the contrary, I have quite a temper but here (the only site I'm regularly on) I tend to be a lot cooler. It's not because I'm a nice person but more because I don't know how to be angry and shut mouths in english. I don't even try, I'm weak at it. If this site was in french...

This happens in text too. I have noticed this happens with anything that is not directly face to face. That or hear them talking.
