When I was in college I had a girlfriend who got off by fantasizing about being executed by strangulation or hanging. She had me tie her up naked with a noose around her neck standing on a chair while I masturbated and performed oral sex on her. I thought she just wanted to play act until she kicked the chair away and actually swung for a few seconds before I could get her down.
She wanted me to do it again with her and let her hang until she passed out. I have to admit to being fascinated by the ritual but it scared me to death so I refused and urged her to get counseling. She refused, was angry that I wouldn’t help enable her fetish, and we broke up. She is still alive (40 years later), I don’t know if she is still doing this.
I have read that this is a common fetish among men and frequently leads to accidental suicide, but is it common (relatively) among women?

    The thing about fetishes as compared to more common kinks is that, for the most part, there is a sort of dangerous aspect to them. The most important thing in the case of a dangerous fetish is to just check that there isn't any underlying dangers.

    In this case, is the person actually suicidal? Are there ways that you can easily get her down in the case of what happened to you when she kicked the chair out? Fetishes require extra precaution like this to still be safe.

      Apparently she wasn’t too suicidal, this was 40 years ago and she is still alive. We recently reconnected at a reunion. I don’t know about then though, maybe she was and worked through it. It sure seemed like it was a purely sexual kink at the time though. My wife and I have other kinks now, the non lethal kind.
