I have only just recently noticed how many young men walk around with either 1hand or both hands down the front of their pants . What is that all about or openly playing with themselves in public.just seems so odd
Just a wild guess , but I may be way off course and off base and out of line , but it is probably because it feels good.

I had the dubious pleasure of growing up in the semi-rural South, and this is a common behavior there. All men dip, and all men hang out with a hand in their pants. It's fuckin' weird.
I have never noticed that going on. It must just be local to you. Where do you live or see this?
Never seen it or done it myself, my wife loves sticking her hand down my pants at home but that's a different story.
Never heard of this behavior in public but it sounds primitive and not too classy at all.
Force of habit, comfort, warmest spot on the body, just a place to put an idle hand, very guilty of this myself. Nothing sexual, it's childish behavior but they don't mean anything by it. I either put my hand just under the waist band or up my shirt, across my chest, and hold my shoulder. Don't know why, just comfort while I scroll through my phone.
