Hands and/or mouth go numb

Whenever I stand up fast, I get terrible headrushes, everything goes black for a few seconds- and Both my hands go completely numb for around 15 seconds. Occasionally my mouth will go numb too, the pins & needles feeling. Also, I get a squeeling noise in my head, while everything is black- but I don't lose consciousness. It is a high pitched sound, like the ringing in your ears after a loud concert.
I have blacked out a few times while this has happened.
Does anyone know what this is? or is it just a bad headrush? Maybe low blood sugar or something??

Listen, when you get to the doctor arrange for a full cardiac work-up, including treadmill. Forget the b.s. please.

YES these things happen to me. Or slight variations of them.
I ALWAYS get the worst lightheadedness and lose my vision when I stand up really quickly. My hands and fingertips get really numb and cold easily and sometimes I lose feeling in them. My legs fall asleep all of the time. And sometimes if I turn my head really fast I get the "pins and needles" in my tongue feeling accompanied by a flash of sharp pain in the back of my neck. These things have all been happening to me ever since I can remember.
Hope we're medically okay, but somehow I doubt it.

Are you on meds? Could these be side effects?

That is definitely a circulation issue without a doubt. I'm a health care professional and I'm 99%% confident in this statement. The cause is what you should really be investigating. It could be something as simple as lack of exercise if you lead a -ahem- rather sedentary lifestyle. Get it checked out.

But it could be any range of far more serious conditions as well.

See a doc. Might be Iron Deficiency or dehydration.

    It's called syncope.

It's more common on teenagers, especially girls, but can re-occur in later life.

It's very common, in varying degrees, both me and my sister have had it.

Your best bet is to look it up online for more advice, but there's really not much you can do about it, just stand up slowly in future. It isnt going to lead to anything else, either, unless you faint and hit something.

You're gonna be fine, but yeah, look it up and good luck with it.

It's VERY common among people in their twenties as well. and Sir/Mam, never tell anyone that looking up a health issue online is their best bet. It's actually one of the worst things someone can do in the face of a potentially serious issue.

I get this but apparently this is "common" in teenagers, it cant be because of LOW blood pressure because a smoke like a chimney and doesn't that increase your bp?

I get this too, haven't gotten it for a while now. Not sure what it is but I don't think it's serious.

Personally I find it good fun! I remember collapsing after one serious case, tingley all over!!

        Lovely.

i think you may want to see a doctor about that. i feel dizzy often because i'm animic (can't spell sorry) it could be that but there are lots of other things it could be and you're best off getting it checked out before it gets any worse
