My hair hasnt grown since 6th grade. Im in 10th grade now. I get trims every 6 months but my hair always grows back to the same short length it was then doesnt grow. I do straighten my hair a lot, but lately i havent (for 2 weeks now) and Im taking pills to try and help my hair grow. Whatever I do, my hair doesnt grow, and it gives me low self esteem. Is this problem normal?
I am a hairdresser and hair only grows to a certain length, like eyelashes. The hair only has a certain lifespan, grows to a certain length, stops, falls out and starts again. That's why in some cultures (such as Indians) their hair grows very long. Unfortunately there's not a lot you can do about it, but keep eating healthily and keep your hair in good condition
My friend has a problem like this. Her hair is dead. That's what the doctors said. Her hair grows, but extremely slowly. Listen to the above advice.

Stop straightening it completely. Let it get healthy. Eat good foods because that contributes to healthy hair. Get it trimmed every 6 weeks or so. Also pills won't help too much sorry. But sometimes hair just doesn't grow.
