My fiancé and my friends always tell me to have short hair. I have always had length to my hair because I have been playing guitar in various semi professional rock and metal bands. I earn more money than every single one of my friends in my normal day job and I generally aspire to always do better in my life. I am currently doing a part time degree to qualify me to teach music. I find it absolutely shallow that they seem to have an underlying problem with my appearance. I dress very neat and I look good and presentable within my style. I fit into a certain scene but my 'normal' friends just do not appreciate this. My friends all have short hair and think I look ' gay '. I love them anyway. I'm lucky to have real friends that I have grown up with over the past 15 years. I just want to know if it is normal for them to actually give a fuck how long my hair is. It's not even that long...     I had long hair for the most of my life, first it was just long, their I had a long haircut with bangs. But never shorter than my shoulders.

    However when I started being more active and train harder it became a pain. I miss it occasionally, but since I cut my hair I actually like it much better this way.

    So maybe you should try to rock a short hairstyle, go figure -you might end up liking it!
