Yes, absolutely. I had a few dates with a girl who was a dress size 28. That was all people ever focussed on but she was funny, and pretty, and we saw strange films together and then talked about them until the small hours. That's the bit I focussed on. I've been in longer relationships with people who were technically overweight, but they didn't look it to my eyes. They were just curvy.
But don't forget obesity can change...
but can you fix a bad personality?
Well I probably wouldn't date someone who was huge/obese. It's not like I'm forced to choose or die. I'd just look for someone else. Generally I wouldn't mind/would prefer the bigger women, but there are limits.
Of course the other thing to consider is that a body will change as you age or as life happens.
for example many women do not regain their figures after childbirth, at least not right away, and it takes work.
injuries can also change a body type as well. or medical conditions
So even if she has a perfect body today it doesn't mean she'll have one forever.
This may seem like a stupid question (and it probably is :P), but when you say "dull personality," are you saying introverted or just stupid, bitchy, or a combination of the last two?
The big girl can always lose the weight the skinny girl can change her horrible personality.
my wife in 190lbs, but she's as flexible as an Olympic gymnast and twice as fun. O_O
side note: FEMALE; I would not want to date an obese man, and I used to be a fatty. Obese is the key word, if the person has extra weight that's fine, even prefered. But if they can't do physical activities moderatly or fit in a theme park ride, theres an issue, not just based on looks but HEALTH. It's a known fact that the labido lessens w/ excess weight, for both men and women. And as for personality looks fade but there personality only beacomes more apparent.

My husband says, all men love big women in bed - they just don't want to be seen out with them. Which is very cruel if it's true!!
I hope that's not true of all men. I've been out with girls from a UK dress size 4 to a size 28. If people are going to judge me on something so flimsy as my partner's weight, they're too stupid for me to even acknowledge that judgement.
I have to smile when you say "bag of bones"...
Mainly because there's been a dead deer on the side of the local highway that's been there for over a month now.
I've nicknamed it "Bag of Bones" because that's pretty much what it looks like... a skin sack around meatless bones.
