Guys: would you ever hit a woman

If someone is violent or threatening towards me and I think they could genuinely hurt me I reserve the right to be violent or threatening back. Man, woman, child even.

Some women are brainwashed into thinking men don't feel pain, or that a slap or punch or kick from a woman doesn't hurt so it's wrong for a man to hit back. That's bollocks. Furthermore some women only hit men because they assume the man won't hit back because of cultural expectations. That's pathetic and cowardly.

Recently, a female housemate of mine hit a male housemate of mine during an argument and left a big cut on his head. He moved out because of it, and people were saying he should have got over it and that he overreacted. Imagine the genders reversed in the scenario; male housemate hits female housemate, big cut on her head. You think anybody would be suggesting she "just get over it"?

It all is based on threat assessment...I almost was killed because I underestimated a woman..if she is truly capable of harming me than yes, I would knock her the f out

I would hit a woman as hard and in the same scenario as I would hit a man. I would not discriminate between the two.

That said, I never would hit anyone, man or woman, unless I really had to.

The only time anybody should hit anybody is when they're being physically assaulted or attacked- gender isn't an issue.

I haven't read all the debating above but I have a teenage son and I would be deeply ashamed and dis-own him if I ever thought he beat a woman!

If some female came at him, I would expect him to use his physical strength to restrain her and throw her out of the house. His priority should be to get the lunatic away from him and if she smashes up his car etc he should phone the police. He should put an end to that relationship and NEVER give the psycho a second chance to do it again!

A lot of females are VERY VERY stupid to even introduce play violence into their relationships as they truly underestimate the strength of a male - from about puberty they are many times stronger than the average female.

I know many nasty bitches and it is only to the credit of their husbands that they have not been beaten to a pulp!! Their men stay to help raise the children etc but once the kids are of age it bye bye bitch :o)

Woman need to be disciplined from time to time so its almost imperative that she recognizes her inferiority and subordination to her husband as the provider and head of the household.

If she knows her place is in the kitchen and cooking, folding laundry or ironing my shirts and keeping her fat mouth shut at the same time then there wouldnt be any reason for hitting would there be?

I can't believe so many people voted the first option. Does anyone remember WHY women wanted equality? It annoys me when men say well you wanted to be treated as equals to justify hitting a women or anything else so idiotic. (This doesn't include self defense, although I'm sure most guys could just RESTRAIN a girl to stop her.) It's not okay for a woman to hit a man either b/c she thinks she can get away with it but men have done way worse, get over it.

What women want/ed was to be able to go to school and have a career. What we want/ed was to not be treated like a dumb child. What we want/ed was to do more with our lives than have babies, and cook, and clean, and be a maid to our husbands and to be stepped on, not the right to be able to hit men and get away with it.

I once let my ex beat the crap out of me because I didn't want to retaliate and get busted. What happened? She went to the cops and said I'd started hitting her even though she didn't have hardly a mark on her and I was totally ripped up. You can't win so it's better to play the pussy, let them snigger at you and humiliate you and walk away because getting busted for something you didn't do or did in self-defence is wrong in my book. Though I get really pissed when they think they can do what the like without you being able to do f'all about it.

Lots of women cry about gender equality only when it benefits them. I think the world should really be equal on all aspects - and yeah including being physically hit, IF NEED BE. I would hit a man or a woman if they deserved it. Never cared about their genitals.
