I think you're putting too much stress into your virginity, then again I've wondered the same thing. Like if girls would be put off by me, assuming I could even get a girl in the first place, because I'm a virgin. I feel it's somehow expected more of girls to be virgins than it is for guys.

At 22 it's not like you don't know what sex is or how it's done. You haven't had any personal experience with it yet so you might not have all the extra feel good details, which you'll learn by doing. Especially if the guy isn't a virgin.

When you finally do lose your virginity you're probably going to feel really stupid for waiting for so long if it's you that's holding out. What I mean is if there's been good guys wanting to date you and have sex but you don't do it, you're probably going to regret not doing it a long time ago.
Usually once the virgin losses it they want sex like crazy and they feel stupid for waiting for so long to have it. Especially when the relationship ends with their 'dream' guy which it will.

I've recently met a cute 21 yr old that I might hook up with and I'd prefer her to be a virgin cause they're still a lot of fun in bed and it's fun doing 'new' things with them. However, nothing irritates me more than when women don't do some of the initiating, so if you are looking for someone, don't stand about and expect a guy to do all of the initiating, a lot of us don't like it when that happens.
It depends on how much the guy would want sex. Wanting a virgin partner is not the same as wanting a partner that will remain one, and so if that is what you intend, I doubt most people would stay with you long.
