Guys only: how often do you think about your first love..i.e ex gf?

Wow, now there's a question. Now and again, I suppose. She was an American by birth but she moved to Europe before she could even talk so she didn't really know America apart from going back every summer when school was out. She cheated on me in an online thing with a guy from America. I guess she felt deprived of an American upbringing and wanted an American boyfriend (although technically, he was Chinese). I guess it hurt him too, because he was there first and I was the impostor (not that I knew).

It hurt at the time (to say the least) but it makes sense now. Maybe I'd have done the same with an English girl if I'd have been brought up in another continent. I probably would. I'd have been curious to know what Englishness was.

She came back to do her doctoral degree here and I know she wanted to meet again but I didn't want to and we didn't.

I think of her once a month, or so. But it's never thoughts of getting back together. It's just visiting the past for a while. I'm glad I have it, and I still think about it, but it's more important to live in the now and make some new memories.

I'm still in love with her. I see her every time I look in the mirror.

When I read "Guys Only" I immediately clicked on this before even reading any other title.

Wow I am amazed at the responses! From a woman's perspective that is really nice and flattering But at the same time the thought of ur bf thinking of his ex gf often or ocassionally is heartbreaking because no girl wants to feel like ur second best.

Often. One time I went to go hug the one I love, but I bumped into the mirror.

Lately, a lot.

We've been running into each other because of mutual friends. I catch her glancing.

I am physically attracted to her still, but i know she's just like me.
There's nothing there anymore.

It's been thirty years. She never truly ever left my heart. I'm being honest here-I still want her. I think of her daily and long for her. I'm married with a family. Yet, I feel what I feel. True love never fades. Those memories and feelings are with you for your lifetime. I realize that now. Would love to wrap my arms around her at least one more time. Don't know where she is at this point; but I do know this-I'll always love and think of her. Always!

I wouldn't say all the time but very often though. Maybe three or four times a week.

Probably pops into my head daily but I don't think about her for long. Well, maybe now and then.

Never. I don't think about any of my ex's. Love is overrated anyway. If I feel like wasting my time and money again I'd rather get a dog nowdays.

It's quite pathetic actually, but I'm working on it though.

All the time. But since I've only had one girlfriend so far in my life I blame the fact that if I ever imagine romantic situations in my head her face is super-imposed on the imaginary lady.
I'm quite sure if I ever had another woman to think about then it wouldn't be such a constant for me.
